Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark was the site of our
2008 Health Expo
Trinitas provided an array of experts to conduct screenings and provide
information, and partnered with several other health care advocacy groups to
bring the good news about prevention and taking charge of your health to
those who came to hear the good news.
Some of the testing that was done included body fat analysis, blood pressure
screening, blood sugar screening, cholesterol screening, exercise analysis,
pulmonary function testing, sleep disorders screening and wound healing
screening, among others.
A wealth of information was provided about alcohol and drug abuse, our
Bloodless Medicine and Surgery program, breast cancer detection, the Brother
Bonaventure Extended Care Center, our Cardiac Catheterization Lab, CPR
Training, domestic violence, a new heart treatment called Enhanced External
Counterpulsation (or EECP), nutrition, the Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer
Center, the important work of our Volunteer Services Department, our Sleep
Disorders Center, and our Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center.
There was even a demonstration of "Choking Charlie" to show how to help
someone who is choking.
Some of the partners that participated in the day's activities included the
American Heart Association, the Center for Advanced Pelvic Surgery and the
Center for Hope Hospice.
This event was part of Trinitas' Community Initatives efforts, which include
year-round seminars, lectures, classes, screenings and going out into the
community to spread the message of good health to places people gather to
receive our information and hear our speakers.
We thank the people who volunteered their time to participate on their day
