The Sleep Disorders Center at Trinitas Regional Medical Center provides a monitored, fully
attended diagnostic sleep study designed to rule out physical, non-stress
related symptoms that may prevent restful sleep. A team of trained sleep
specialists supervises each study and coordinates follow-up care with the
patient's physician.
NJ's Newest Sleep Disorders Center Now
Open
In June, 2004, Trinitas Regional Medical Center opened its expanded, state-of-the-art Sleep
Disorders Center, located at the Williamson Street Campus. The Center is
designed to diagnose sleep disorders, including insomnia, sleep apnea,
restless leg syndrome, snoring and narcolepsy, among others.
"Getting a good night's sleep is an essential part of healthy living," says
Vipin Garg, MD, Director of the Sleep Disorders Center. "But for the
millions of Americans who suffer from sleep disorders, getting enough rest
can be difficult, if not impossible. Left untreated, sleep disorders can
have harmful, even life-threatening effects
on health, well-being and safety."
State-of-the-art diagnostic sleep studies are performed by specially trained
sleep pulmonologists, registered polysomnographers and licensed,
credentialed respiratory therapists. They can quickly diagnose any sleep
problem and, working closely with each patient's primary physician, provide
expert treatment and follow-up.
"The private, comfortable testing is performed in home-like suites with soft
designer sheets, pillows and a private shower," says Dr. Garg. All overnight
sleep studies include a complimentary breakfast and free parking in the
Trinitas Regional Medical Center parking garage.
